Talk:A List of Shows At Terrace Club, Princeton, NJ
From UlfMagneticsWiki
I'm creating a talk page in case anybody is way down with wikiness and wants to get all chatty about this. John 14:57, 21 April 2007 (PDT)
Thanks. Is there a similar page for Campus Club shows or is there any interest in creating one? Lots of fabulous shows there as well over the years. A standout for me was Mission of Burma, fall of 1982. I also have heard that REM played there in 1981? - Sally Jacob
Hi Sally! Absolutely, there should be a page for Campus Club too. I saw a bunch of great shows there during my years as well! I just put a placeholder down here if you or anybody wants to get started. john 12:00, 24 April 2007 (PDT)
[edit] RE: GWAR
I would love to see photos of this show. Is it true they blew the power out when they played the first note? --John
Yes, they blew out the power almost immediately. --Dan Cohen
For the person who asked for photos of the GWAR show, as it happens, I have a whole roll of photos from the show. This was in the days before digital, though, so they are just Kodak prints... I'd need to scan them. If I can find them I'll try to do that. I don't recall the power going out (though that could have happened briefly), but I do remember one of the guitarists falling out of an open window in mid-flail and landing on the shrubbery outside. (The gig was in the living room, not in the dining room, for some reason. I guess to maximize the stain potential?) - Sally
As for the first GWAR show listed, under 1987, when the power went out, the band, stalling for time, said they needed a human sacrifice to get the power back on. My roommates pushed me forward (I was in the front anyway, and probably the easiest to push) and they "sacrificed" me with the bass playing putting down his axe-shaped bass (lightly) on my neck, then splashing me with the fake blood. There are photos somewhere (maybe in Bryan Bell's possession) with me in my blood-stained T-shirt after the show. -- Ethan Stein
If there were digital scans of the GWAR show at Terrace it would make my year! -john 15:47, 24 April 2007 (PDT)
[edit] Thank You!
This is a pretty amazing list. Thanks for putting it up! - Dave
